In its effort to improve financial literacy among Malaysians, the Employee Provident Fund (EPF), also known as Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP), brought financial literacy to the public through Program Literasi Kewangan Simpan Baik-Baik (PLKSBB) x Genta Hikayat.

The programme took place in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Pasar Seni.
Held from 5 to 7 December 2025, the three-day programme transformed the iconic Pasar Seni into a vibrant cultural playground, proving that learning about saving and planning for the future doesn’t have to be serious or distant. Visitors were immersed in interactive financial literacy activities inspired by Malaysia’s traditional games, including congkak and, chapteh – blending fun, culture, and education all in one experience.
PLKSBB x Genta Hikayat went beyond activities and games, offering rich cultural performances such as wayang kulit, Tarian Hikayat Puteri Gunung Ledang, and the Irama Jiwa concert, providing visitors with a truly memorable experience. Adding to the charm was the Hikayat Si Cilik storytelling competition, where young storytellers captivated the crowd with heartfelt tales.
Adding to the experience and in the spirit of #supportlokal, 70 local vendors from street food stalls to artisanal makers also shared their products and stories – adding a vibrant, community-driven dimension to the programme.

Through PLKSBB x Genta Hikayat, one message stood out: the #SimpanBaikBaik habit can start early and become part of everyday life. By using culture as a bridge, the EPF continues to inspire everyone to save smarter and explore the many ways it can support their financial journey – not just through mandatory contributions, but also via voluntary options such as i-Simpan, i-Saraan and the latest scheme for e-hailing and p-hailing drivers, i-Saraan Plus: https://finlit.my/kwspisaraan
